Brokeback Mountain

Although this movie contains "my new boyfriend" Jake Gyllenhaal (who is just so good looking) I found it to be very painful to watch. Heath Ledger's performance was great, but it was really hard to understand what he was saying.
The plot was great and the wonderful acting on the part of all the actors involved really made this movie, but isn't the real question unanswered? Its sort of like how the grass is always greener on the otherside. Would Gyllenhall's character and Ledger's character really have been happier by being together - or was their love that much more special because they were not able to be together? I mean, the real world changes fairytale relationships (I know - that was part of the point of the movie - why they couldn't be together), but there is something much more romantic in dreaming of "what could have been" rather than knowing.

I love how you critiqued it as a romance and didnt seem to notice the gay element at all- very progressive!

Hey Pirate Girl,

Do you have time in the near future to go play on the 7 seas with me (this Wednesday or any time after next Tuesday works for me).
